Quokka ("we", "us", "our") is an independently operated suburb comparison tool built for Australians researching where to buy property. Quokka is operated by Seth Sharp, based in Adelaide, South Australia.
By creating an account or using the service, you ("you", "your") agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Quokka provides suburb-level data aggregated from publicly available Australian government sources, including the Australian Bureau of Statistics, ACARA, state police agencies, and Valuer General offices. We present this data in a side-by-side comparison format with personalised scoring.
We also offer a property tracker feature that allows you to save and organise property listings you're interested in.
Quokka is an informational tool, not a financial adviser, property valuer, or licensed real estate service. Nothing on this site constitutes financial advice, property advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or invest in any property or location.
Suburb scores are generated algorithmically based on your stated preferences and publicly available data. They are indicative only. Always do your own due diligence and seek professional advice before making property decisions.
We source data from official government datasets and update it regularly. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any data displayed. Government sources may contain errors, lag behind real-world conditions, or be revised after publication.
If you spot an error, please let us know. We take data quality seriously and will investigate and correct issues promptly.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. One account per person. Don't share your login or let others access your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or attempt to scrape or redistribute data at scale.
Quokka offers a free tier with core comparison features and an optional paid unlock for extended functionality. Pricing is displayed on the pricing page and may change with reasonable notice.
Payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your card details directly.
The Quokka name, logo, mascot, website design, scoring algorithms, and original content are owned by us. Government data remains in the public domain as published by its respective source agencies.
You may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit Quokka's aggregated datasets, scoring outputs, or interface without written permission.
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Quokka and its operator are not liable for any loss, damage, or expense arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to property purchase decisions made using data or scores from this platform.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address on your account. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
